They are specifically designed to reduce wear and tear on the silicon mat on the lower platen and prevents excess inks, dyes and adhesives from penetrating into the silicone, in addition to making it easier to slide garments on and off the lower platen. They are very easy to clean and are essential to prolonging the life of the heat press bed.
To keep the platen covers clean, simply wipe them with a damp cloth to remove any residue or buildup on the surface.
They are also available in five other sizes:
- 15cm x 25cm (6″ x 10″)
- 20cm x 25cm (8″ x 10″)
- 38cm x 38cm (15″ x 15″)
- 40cm x 40cm (16″ x 16″)
- 40cm x 50cm (16″ x 20″)
We also supply a non-stick heat press upper platen protector, which protects both your heat press and garments by keeping the upper platen clean and free of inks, adhesives, and excess residue, which is available in 40cm x 50cm (16″ x 20″). While it doesn’t replace the need for a PTFE non-stick cover sheet, many heat press operators find it invaluable – Direct-to-garment (DTG) and sublimation printers consider it an essential tool to protect their heat press from steam and chemical build-up.
